Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire in Montreal's West Island is a small, quiet town. A lot of people who aren't aware of they mistakenly believe the West Island extends westward from Montreal. Actually, this is not the case. West Island includes everything westward from Lachine. Lachine. Amanda Brugel grew up on the West Island, and it is frequently called her birthplace. But she only resided there for a very short duration. Brugel was raised in Courtice close to Oshawa the city of Ontario. Her initial ambition was to be an actor, but after a sudden growth spurt her partners were no longer able to dance along with her. According to an article in the Toronto Star, she revealed that in heels she was 6 foot 1 inches tall. After I surpassed my male counterparts at that point, I gave up. A lot of former dancers go on to acting, and in Brugel's case it was the nudge of an instructor in drama at high school who led her in the right direction. It was the teacher who recommended she go after a role in the school's annual production. After a few auditions the role, she was chosen as the leading lady for Anne of Green Gables. When she was awarded the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship, she enrolled in York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. Brugel's career spans over 20 years and she's performed in more than 60 shows, both on big screens and on smaller ones. Her most notable role was that of Rita (pictured in the below photo) in the television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel appeared only on rare instances in the initial season of the series The Handmaid's tale. She was the sole Canadian member.
